Joan M:

Joan was born and raised on a farm near Dysart, Saskatchewan. Her first nine years of schooling were done in a one room schoolhouse, and the last three years of high school were in Lipton. Joan then moved on to Moosejaw to become a registered Psychiatric Nurse, then out into the community as a Psychiatric Social Service Worker before moving on to Prince George. She started as a receptionist at Prince George Veterinary Hospital in November 1973. Joan met and lived with her companion, Don, from 1974 until his passing in 2005.
Joan's interests since childhood have always been, foremost, cats, but she also has had two dogs over the years. She has always worked with the elderly or the mentally challenged. For relaxation she enjoys reading, needlework, summertime gardening and weeding, and in the wintertime, she (usually!) enjoys shoveling snow.
Sharon G:
Sharon was born in Penticton, B.C. but has lived most of her life in Prince George. She started working at the hospital twenty-five years ago when her kids started school. She has worked mostly in reception but has worked in the pharmacy and did some hiring and training for new receptionists for a while. Her two kids are grown up and moved away. She has four grandchildren that she does not see nearly enough of. She and her husband Paul (of thirty-five years) love to travel and go camping in the motor home. As they are now "empty nesters", they spend their spare time with the cats Maddy-Lynn and Emma-Lee so you can imagine how spoilt they are. The kitties love camping in the motor home too.
Karina V:
Karina Vanderlee grew up near Prince George. She moved to Vancouver to pursue her educational goals but ended up missing the friendly people in the North. Although new to the staff, she is already impressed with the attentive care the doctors and staff provide to their patients and clients. She loves spending time with her husband and young son, two mini dachshunds (Finley & Blue) and two crazy cats (Rascal & Jynx)
Chelsea St G:
Chelsea was born and raised in Prince George and after graduating from PGSS in 2001 her lifelong love of animals brought her to PG Vet, where she worked as a ward attendant for seven years before making the move from the back of the hospital to the front when she became a receptionist. Her furry family includes Maisie, a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix who weighs almost 100 pounds but still thinks she's a lapdog, and Maddie, a terrier mix who sometimes goes by the nickname "hopalong" because she only has three legs, although that doesn't stop her from running circles around her big sister! The newest addition to the family is Penelope, a shorthaired brown and white tabby who doesn't quite know what to make of the very curious dogs who are always sniffing her. When Chelsea is not working she enjoys walking her dogs in the park.
Jennifer G:

Jennifer grew up in Williams Lake, graduating from Columneetza High School and completing her legal assistant course. Shortly afterward, she moved to Montreal for six years where she fell in love with the culture and found the love of her life. Married now for four years, they decided to experience the north together and arrived in Prince George in October 2008. Having worked in a veterinary hospital in Montreal, it wasn't long until she found a place amongst the staff at the Prince George Veterinary Hospital. As for a future furry addition to her family...she is hoping soon!
Tammy N:

Tammy was born and raised in Prince George and graduated from Duchess Park Secondary School. She started working at the Prince George Veterinary Hospital in 2009 after taking an extended (and very much enjoyed) maternity leave. While not working, she enjoys spending time with her three children, reading, walking, playing outside with her toddler, and driving kids to where they need to be. Her furry family includes a cat, two guinea pigs, and bunnies, as her daughter is involved in 4H. So she is sure there will be baby guinea pigs or bunnies in the future!
Lili U:
Lili grew up in Osoyoos, BC, graduating from Osoyoos Secondary High and going on to earn a B. Sc. Zoology at UBC in Vancouver. She then returned to the sunny Okanagan where she worked in a veterinary hospital for twelve years, learning all aspects of the business as a kennel technician, animal health technician, receptionist, and eventually office maanger. Lili moved to Prince George in 2009 with her three horses, three dogs, and seven cats and is now a member of our receptionist team.
Her favourite pasttimes are "fixin'" things around the farm, playing with her many pets, being outside, watching movies, reading, and going on nature walks with the dogs.
Sara V: Sara was born in Prince George and graduated from PGSS in 2009; joining our practice shortly afterward. Sara plans to attend CNC ‘s nursing program and will continue to work here while attending school. She has a dog named Koda and intends to get more pets in the future. Sara loves to travel and enjoys playing soccer, walking, hiking, and camping.
Michelle L:

Michelle was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Prince George. She graduated from Kelly Road Secondary and attended the University of Northern British Columbia where she (finally!!) completed her degree, a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a major in Biomedical Studies in 2010.
Michelle started at the Prince George Veterinary Hospital in February of 2001 as a full time receptionist. She only had two "kids" when she started working, but currently has six!!! Yes, she fell for the charms of a couple of animals while working here, including Teegahn, a Siamese cat with no tail and Skylar, a German Shepherd Mix with the biggest ears you have ever seen. The newest addition to her family, Marley, is thanks to Heather, and is giving Skylar a run for the title of biggest ears!
Fern F:
Fern was born and raised in Prince George, BC. After finishing high school, she attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, majoring in music. Upon returning home in 2002, and unsure whether she wanted to pursue a career in music, she applied for a position at the Prince George Veterinary Hospital. A long time animal lover, she was originally hired as a ward attendant, which eventually led to a full time position in the billing/pharmacy area of the hospital.
Her family consists of two cats, Linus and Sabrina. Her favourite past-times involve relaxing with friends, watching movies, various outdoor activities and running.
Lisa W:
Lisa has recently joined our team and is quickly learning about our hospital. Lisa is a recent graduate of a Veterinary Assistant program.
