Dr. John Colebrook:
John came to Prince George way back in 1976, interested in practicing mixed animal medicine and planning on staying for a few years to gain veterinary experience and pay off student loans. Now, it is over thirty years later and he is still here. He has been married to Brenda for more than 23 years and has a daughter, Christie, a son Jeff, two horses, three dogs, two cats and (currently) no pocket pets! John became a partner back in 1979 and is currently co-owner of Prince George Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Deb Kalyn. When not working, John enjoys skiing during the winter months and canoeing, horseback riding and maintaining the acreage during the summer months.
Dr. Deb Kalyn:
Deb was raised in Prince George, graduating from Duchess Park
Secondary School. She then moved to Saskatoon to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, moved back home and started to work at the Prince George Veterinary Hospital. She has stayed ever since, becoming one of the partners in 2000.
Deb is married with kids of the four legged kind, including Spinnaker, an SPCA special of questionable parentage (mom was a Border Collie) and Painter a rather large black and white cat. There are no pictures of Painter, as even after several years, he does not get along well enough with Spin to be in the same photo shoot! (Well, if truth be told, after all the lectures Deb gives on the dangers of obesity in cats, it would be too embarrassing to show off his physique to the world)
When not at work Deb enjoys sailing, scuba diving, travelling, walking the dog, wine making and house building (yes, they're still at it!)
Dr. Ricardo Bonafine:
Dr. Bonafine comes from a busy emergency practice in Calgary. He enjoys swimming and has already developed a fan club amongst the clients - who have never seen their pets so relaxed in here before now. He and his family are enjoying Prince George and the much faster commute to work.
Dr. Samantha Fuller:
Dr. Fuller was born and raised in Prince George. After high school, she attended the University of Calgary where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She continued her education at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon where she graduated as a veterinarian. She then completed an internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College in small animal surgery and medicine. Now she is happy to be back in Prince George with her two dogs Maddie and Pluto and the rest of her family. She enjoys all outdoor activities including hiking, running, and playing basketball.
